Blackpool Sixth Form Hustings

Thank you to the The Blackpool Sixth Form College debate team for organising Thursday’s hustings and for asking this important question - what would a Labour government do for young people.

I have been speaking to young people across Blackpool and I know you are concerned about your future. You need better jobs, education, housing, a cut in the cost of living, better mental health support and for your leaders to take climate change seriously.

The Conservatives have let you down on all those scores.

Labour will transform the education system so that young people get the opportunities they deserve.

We will provide access to specialist mental health professionals in schools and youth hubs so every young person has access to early support in their formative years.

Under Labour Britain will become a clean energy superpower.
