Survey: The Impact of the Cost of Living on Childhood in Blackpool South

PLEASE NOTE: RESULTS FROM THIS SURVEY WERE COMPILED IN MARCH 2025 AND INFORMED THIS REPORT. ANY NEW SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT INFORM THE CHILD POVERTY STRATEGY, BUT THE SURVEY REMAINS OPEN AND THE MP WILL READ THEM TO INFORM HIS BROADER WORK.

This survey is aimed at gathering insights from parents, carers, and professionals who work with children in Blackpool South.

It seeks to understand the challenges children face, particularly as many families are currently struggling with the cost of living. Your responses will provide valuable information that will inform the government's Child Poverty Taskforce, ensuring that the needs of children in Blackpool are considered when developing policies to improve their lives.

The survey is supported by the End Child Poverty Coalition – made up of over 80 organisations including child welfare groups, social justice groups, faith groups, trade unions and others who are dedicated to eradicating child poverty.
